About me

I am a journalist

My name is Novella Gianfranceschi, and I was born in Italy in 1995. I am a passionate biologist and storyteller committed to biodiversity conservation and environmental advocacy. After completing my Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biologist degree, I pursued a post-graduate specialization in Journalism from the prestigious Walter Tobagi School of Journalism in Milan, honing my skills in storytelling and communication. Throughout my career, I have contributed extensively to Linkiesta, a prominent Italian news outlet. I served as a correspondent at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (Cop 28), providing insightful coverage of global climate negotiations. In 2024, I started collaborating as an investigative reporter for IrpiMedia. As a freelance journalist, I am the author and curator of the press review podcast Aria Stampa  covering topics of climate and environment. Additionally, I write and blog offering thought-provoking perspectives on conservation and sustainability.
